Farming

A few years ago, we launched a pilot agricultural project to promote the food supply of the pupils and the independence of Ilkeek Aare School in the long term. The cultivation of crops in the immediate vicinity of the school has been extremely successful ever since.

Thanks to the continuous optimization of cultivation processes, such as the targeted use of fertilizers, we were able to significantly exceed our harvest targets this season. In total, we achieved a yield of 204 bags of maize, each weighing 90 kilograms. This impressive total of 18,360 kilograms will now fully benefit the school’s nutrition program.

The fact that this joint effort is absolutely worthwhile is proven by our current evaluation, which has achieved a consistently positive result.

This extremely satisfactory result encourages us in our work. We will enthusiastically continue the project and hope to expand it even further in the future
